Telluride, Co

Aug. 27,2013

Well here we are out burning up the highway in this case the gravel road that turns into a goat trail. We went 9 miles in 45 min.  Went of Ouray heading for Telluride by way of the gravel road called Yankee Boy Basin, the scenery was beautiful lots of falls, old mines, old mining towns, and we saw a working mine..great big hole in the side of the mountain you could drive a truck in it. I don't know maybe they do in this day and age. The gravel road was a little short of going all the way for us. We had to turn around and come back down the mountain, that didn't stop us we just went out to the highway to finish our journey. Telluride is a middle class Aspen town with ski lift and expense stores. There is one way in and one way out. Saw a herd of Elk along the highway going into town. Came back to the RV Park sat around had dinner then played cards for awhile....Guess who WON...YES sir.
